Marymas Medieval Fair
Since its inception in 1986 the fair has grown from simply a charity fundraiser into our largest annual fundraising event. Every attempt is made to keep expenditure to a minimum and the Marymas fair is supported by over 500 volunteers with additional assistance in many forms from local businesses.
The Fair itself is a most significant event in the City of Inverness and wide surrounding areas with an attendance of over 3500 visitors. Last year we raised £14,119.00.
The Fair has been going for 24 years and consists of over 110 trade and voluntary, sideshows, tea tent, BBQ, entertainment, performers and many other events. All participants are asked to dress up in traditional wear and are involved in the procession through Inverness. This ends at the Town House with a local schoolgirl being crowned the Marymas Queen by the Provost and Highland Councillors in full dress in front of the crowds.

This year the Fair is on 19th June 2010 at the Northern Meeting Park from 11am to 5pm.
The crowning at the Town House will take place at 11.30am and then return to the park for 12pm.
